Minister of Planning and Economic Development opens third training day for "Youth for Development" initiative

Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, inaugurated the third training day of the "Youth for Development Initiative", convened by the Ministry in collaboration with UNDP, to conclude a series of training events offered to students and researchers of government universities participating in the initiative. Five universities participate in the initial phase of the initiative this year: Cairo, Ain Shams, Beni Suef University, Port Said, Mansoura, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Alaa, Coordinator of the Initiative, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation, and Dr. Dalia Khalil, Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities, as well as well as representatives of government universities, students and researchers involved in the initiative.

Dr. Hala Al-Saeed stressed the Egyptian government's keenness to develop the creative and innovative capacities of young people at the level of the governorates of the Republic in the framework of governance to localize sustainable development goals and take advantage of the proposals and ideas of young people in the areas of focus of the initiative, namely the economic and social empowerment of women innovations to improve the public service, including issues of governance, anti-corruption and improvement of public services; Preparing qualified teachers for the education reform strategy, developing awareness of Egyptian family planning and development issues, improving public services and combating corruption, and reforming the health care administration.
