Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stressed the importance of concerted efforts from all institutions and disciplines concerned with human and animal health and food safety, working together to ensure the development and sustainability of the environment, and creating an approach that transcends individual disciplines. To reach smart solutions for future challenges, to ensure the upgrading of public services, whether educational, health or food, and other services provided to the Egyptian citizen.
This came during his participation in the activities of the Arab Republic of Egypt's celebration of the launch of the National One Health Strategy (2023_2027).
With regard to the scientific research sector, Dr. Ayman Ashour The Ministry is keen to direct the necessary funding for several research projects that serve the "One Health" initiative, through the agreement concluded between the Ministry of Health and Population and the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority, with an initial funding of 100 million pounds.
