Today, Tuesday, Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of the COP27 Climate Conference, will participate in the joint press conference marking the conclusion of the Copenhagen Ministerial Meeting on Climate Change.
Shoukry had participated in the activities of the first day of the Copenhagen Ministerial Meeting on Climate, which is hosted by Denmark and held under a joint Egyptian/Emirati presidency, in light of Egypt's current presidency of the climate conference and the UAE presidency of the next session of the conference.
In a statement by Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman and director of the Public Diplomacy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he explained that Minister Shoukry delivered a speech during the opening session of the meeting, in which he praised the Copenhagen meeting, which has become an important platform to enhance the work of the international climate through the constructive discussions and discussions between the various parties. The actors concerned with climate action, noting the cooperation of Egypt, Denmark and the UAE during the last period in preparing for this meeting in a way that enhances climate action at various levels.
