Cairo International Airport has overcome the crisis of stopping air traffic during Corona and its decline due to the current inflation and low demand for travel, with many international airlines resuming their flights to Egyptian airports.

The Egyptian airports system managed efficiently, Eng. Mohamed Saeed Mahrous, Chairman of the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, and overcame the recent crises that the aviation industry went through, so that Egyptian airports graduated with positive and high financial returns.

In Cairo International Port, accountant Magdy Ishak, Chairman of the Board of Directors and one of its sons, made great efforts during which Cairo International Airport witnessed a large number of projects aimed at facilitating passenger movement and the quality of services provided while preserving all workers' rights.

Harvest 2022 came to show that Cairo Airport topped the list issued by the Airports Council International (ACI) for the first 10 African airports in terms of passenger traffic in 2021. Cairo Airport came in second place in cargo traffic.

Cairo Airport ranked first in Africa with 11,346,000 passengers, surpassing the airports of South Africa, Ethiopia, Morocco and Kenya.
