On October 6, Zewail City of Science, Technology, and Innovation made an announcement at the city's administrative centre about the opening of a museum for the belongings of the late Ahmed Zewail, an Egyptian scientist who founded the city.

According to Dr. Mahmoud Abed Rabbo, CEO of Zewail City, the establishment of this museum, which is expected to house a significant portion of the Nobel Prize–winning scientist Ahmed Zewail's possessions and his inspirational scientific journey, is of utmost importance to both the board of directors of the city and the board of trustees led by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

It is noteworthy that despite only being in existence for nine years, Zewail City maintained its top ranking among Egyptian universities for the second year in a row, placing first overall in the British Times rankings and tenth in the Arab world.
