Assem Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, chaired the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Drinking Water, Sanitation and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency, in its new formation, where the final account of the authority for the fiscal year 2022/2021 was presented, and the budget of the device for the fiscal year 2023/2022 was approved.
The Minister of Housing stressed the importance of the role of scientific research in developing the performance of the drinking water and sanitation sector, especially applied research that serves the actual needs of the sector, as it is carried out through applied models to benefit from its results in implementing projects on the ground, explaining that a research and development center will be established in Everything related to the water and wastewater sector, in order to conduct the studies and applied tests necessary for the advancement of the sector, and experts and specialists in this field will be sought.
