The American engineering consultancy ENR has chosen the Toshka Southern Villages development project in Egypt, as the best environmental project in the world.

Dr. Ashraf Abul-Ezz, a professor at the Field Crops Research Institute at the Agricultural Research Center of the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture, said that this project is being held parallel to the Nile River in the Western Desert from the Toshka region, starting from the Toshka overflow in the tourist city of Abu Simbel and passing parallel to the Nile River, but in the lands of New.

Abul-Ezz added, in his speech to "Sky News Arabia": "New areas are being cultivated with important strategic crops without the use of chemicals in agriculture. We do not spray pesticides, fungicides, or others, and with the purity of the air, water and land, this project has become environmentally friendly." .

The director of the South Valley Agricultural Research Station in Toshka explained that this project expands every year, and large and new areas are added to it, and focuses on growing strategic crops on a larger scale, such as wheat, corn, and dates.
