United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres urged world leaders to actively participate in the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) in Sharm el-Sheikh, and to tell the world about the climate action they will take at the national and global levels.

This came in a speech broadcast by the United Nations Media Center on Tuesday.

Guterres addressed world leaders who can demonstrate through their presence and active participation that climate action is the highest global priority that must be on them, describing COP27 as the right place for all countries to show their solidarity in this challenge.
