Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, stated that Egypt decided to give the "African youth" the opportunity to present their problems and the challenges the continent is facing as a result of environmental and climatic changes.. Youth are the future of the African continent.

It will allow them to come up with innovative and non-traditional ideas, and to adopt initiatives that accelerate the transition to a green and rotating economy, as effective tools for achieving sustainable development.

Africa Agenda 2063 highlights the role that youth must play in driving transformation in all areas and their ability to lead African development, making it imperative to implement the African Youth Charter.
