Egypt's climate change mitigation measures include:

- Establishment of the Supreme Council on Climate Change, which is the entity in charge of establishing and modifying broad policies to cope with climate change.

- The implementation of the National Climate Change Strategy 2050, which attempts to combat the consequences of climate change.

- Launching the plan to update the nationally decided contributions resulting from Egypt's commitment to the Paris Agreement before the November 2022 deadline, so that Egypt is the first country to do so and submit it ahead of time.

- Working on the transition to a green economy, as well as the state's efforts to incorporate the environmental factor into all aspects of life.

- Issuing green bonds tied to initiatives dealing with climate change, whether mitigation or adaptation.

- The Egyptian government aims to green the state's general budget by 2030, with the goal of achieving 100% green projects.
