Dr. Hani Swailem, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, affirmed that cooperation between Egypt and African countries is one of the prominent signs of distinguished cooperation between countries, which is built on foundations of brotherhood and exchange of experiences.


This came during a meeting between the Minister of Irrigation and his counterpart of the State of Madagascar "Videnyavo Ravocatra", during which they discussed a number of areas of joint cooperation between the two countries, in the field of water resources.


Swilam pointed out the importance of these meetings as an important opportunity to increase communication and cooperation between different countries of the world, and increase their ability to deal with water issues, in a way that is reflected in the achievement of sustainable development goals related to water.


For his part, the Minister of Water of Madagascar expressed his country's keenness to achieve cooperation with Egypt in all fields. Especially in the field of water resources.


The Minister of Water of Madagascar was accompanied by Pravin Agrawal, the resident representative of the World Food Program in Egypt, and Pasqualina Desirio, the resident representative of the World Food Program in Madagascar.


The meeting was attended by a number of leaders of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
