Al-Qaseer, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, affirmed that the agricultural sector witnessed an unprecedented boom during the era of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, and pointed out that the food security file has become one of the biggest challenges facing developed and developing countries alike.
He added that the problem of the food deficit is no longer just an economic and agricultural problem, but has gone beyond that to become a strategic political issue linked to national and as the producing and exporting countries put pressure on the importing countries to achieve political goals.
This came during the Minister of Agriculture's speech at the opening of the Al-Ahram Agricultural Conference and Exhibition in its second session, which will be held under the Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, entitled "Agriculture and Development Opportunities in the New Republic".
