Dr. Hossam Sadek, CEO of the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance, said that the comprehensive insurance system is not just providing health insurance services, but rather a comprehensive health transformation.
Sadiq added that the Egyptian state is witnessing a comprehensive health transformation, which began with the adoption of the comprehensive health insurance law, the establishment of 3 health care bodies, and the separation of funding from the provision of health service.
Sadiq explained that the Corona crisis has multiplied the challenges facing the implementation of the comprehensive health insurance system, which is the financial sustainability of the application of the health system to ensure the quality of health services provided to citizens and to ensure the quality of places that provide health services.
Sadiq also stressed the importance of discussing the role of digital transformation and artificial intelligence in decision-making and providing health services to citizens, during the sessions of the Al-Ahram Conference on Medicine.
This came during the activities of the first preparatory session for the Al-Ahram Conference for Medicine in its third session, which will be held from 30 to 31 October, under the title of medicine and health care in the new republic.
