The Minister of Environment participates in the consultative session on the Global Waste Initiative

Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, participated in the second consultative session, which was held via the video-conferencing feature, on the Global Initiative for Waste 50 by 2050 and the participation of all African countries and how the private sector and NGOs contribute to all activities related to waste utilization.

The consultation session was held with the participation of Valentin Lafay from the Advisory Office for Development and Management Roland Berger, and a number of development partners, in addition to the Minister’s advisor for waste management,Dr. Najwa Karoui, and many participants concerned and interested in participating in this initiative, from other countries that will be launched during the upcoming climate conference COP27, which aims to raise the recycling rate to 50% of African waste by 2050.
