Dr. Hanan Al-Ghunaimi, Director of the Memorial Institute for Plasma Research, affiliated with the Hospitals and Educational Institutes Authority at the Ministry of Health and Population, said that the institute includes the first specialized pediatric eye center in Egypt and the Middle East.
She added that the center is equipped with the latest medical equipment to provide medical examination services and surgical operations, as it includes a "Ret cam" camera specialized in imaging the retina, and imaging the retina of children's eyes with dye, since the first day of birth.
She indicated that it includes 10 clinics and 3 equipped operating rooms, which received 25,564 children during the first half of 2022.
