The President of the Arab Industrialization Commission “Abdel
Moneim Al-Terras” received “Dominique Goh” Singapore's Ambassador to Cairo.
The meeting examined opportunities for possible investment
and trade partnerships in various areas, as well as the strengthening of
cooperation mechanisms and the use of Arab manufacturing expertise in various
fields of industry, including electronics, surveillance cameras,
telecommunications, medical industries, high pump demand, new and renewable
energy, as well as the involvement of Singapore companies in national projects
implemented by the State.
In this regard, Al-Taras explained the importance of
strengthening joint cooperation in various fields of manufacturing, stressing
the implementation of the directives of President "Abdel Fattah
El-Sisi" by expanding the prospects of partnerships and cooperation with
major international companies in the implementation of development projects and
increasing investment opportunities in accordance with Egypt Vision 2030.
He added that the Arab Industrialization Authority is
looking to strengthen joint cooperation with Singapore's major companies and
attract more investment to deepen local manufacturing and increase value added
in the domestic industry, pointing to the research on increasing competitive
opportunities to market joint production in the Egyptian, Arab and African
market.
For his part, Dominique Goh praised the technical and
technological capabilities of the Arab Industrialization Authority (AIIC),
stating that he aims to explore new long-term joint partnerships in all areas
of industry and the training of human resources.
