Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, said that the Egyptian government began years ago efforts to transform into a green economy by implementing pioneering projects in many sectors and developing sustainable infrastructure.
Al-Mashat added that in preparation for Egypt's presidency of the United Nations Climate Conference COP27, the National Climate Change Strategy 2050 was launched,which aims to achieve 5 main priorities, namely achieving sustainable economic growth, and the second goal is to build resilience and adaptability to climate changes, and thirdly,governance and management of work in the field of change. climate, improving infrastructure for financing climate activities, and promoting scientific research and technology to combat climate change.
