The Magna Graecia Film Festival
MGF honored the Egyptian archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass at the 19th
International Film Festival in Catan Zaroa, Italy
Zahi Hawass was celebrated
for composing the opera "Tutankhamun", which Gianvito Casadonte, the
festival's president, called the most important event in my art for 2022.
Hawass said that he is glad to
have the Italian musician and screenwriter for opera, and that he wrote this
work on the occasion of King Tutankhamun's centenary.
Tonight, Hawass will deliver a
symposium on King Tutankhamun on the sidelines of the festival, which will
continue until August 7.
This is the first time an
archaeologist has been honored at a film festival.
