Fouad explained that Egypt's interest in hosting the Climate Change Convention conference is due to several main reasons, the first of which is that Egypt plays a very strong role in international negotiations at the level of the Climate Change Agreement, And an important role at the level of the African group when President Sisi was Chairman of the African States and Governments Committee on Climate Change from 2015 to 2017 and was the first president of the Republic to lead the African continent,and resulted in two initiatives, the African Initiative for Adaptation and the African Initiative for New and Renewable Energy.
