The Central Bank of Egypt: The money supply grew by 23.4% on a yearly basis in June

Data from the Central Bank of Egypt showed, today, Sunday, that the money supply (M2) increased by 23.4% annually in June.

The money supply amounted to 6.61 trillion Egyptian pounds (349 billion dollars), up from 5.35 trillion pounds in the same month last year.

It should be noted that the Central Bank of Egypt, in a statement, kept key interest rates unchanged at the Monetary Policy Committee meeting last month.

The committee maintained the day-to-day loan rate at 12.25% and the day-to-day deposit rate at 11.25%.
