Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, and Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the National Council for Women, held an extensive meeting via video conferencing to discuss preparations for the 27th Conference of the Parties on Climate Change, which Egypt will host in Sharm El-Sheikh next November,In accordance with the decisions of the Supreme Committee in charge of the preparation of COP27. In the presence of Ambassador Mahmoud Afifi, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and officials of the Ministry of Environment and the National Council of Women.
Ms. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of the Environment, confirmed that the meeting was about discussing the women's initiative that will be launched before the climate conference,And it will review and discuss mechanisms for its implementation during the activities of the Women's Day, which will be held on the sidelines of the climate conference, with the identification of donors and funders for this initiative.
