United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres
highlighted some of the milestones awaiting us in 2022, referring to the COP27
climate conference that will be held in Egypt at the end of the year, saying:
“The world needs commitments that will lead to a 45 per cent reduction in
emissions. By 2030, current national commitments indicate an increase of nearly
14 percent this decade.
