Foreign Minister thanks Germany for hosting Egypt in the Petersburg Climate Dialogue and supporting COP27

During his speech at the opening session of the Petersburg Climate Dialogue, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, President-designate of the 27th session of the Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, thanked his German counterpart Annalina Birbock for hosting Egypt and inviting her to participate in the dialogue and support Germany for the success of COP27.

During the speech, Shoukry reviewed the efforts made by the Egyptian presidency to find solutions to the repercussions of climate change.

Shoukry and his German counterpart opened the opening session of the Petersburg Dialogue on Monday morning.

It is worth noting that this dialogue will be held from 18-19 July 2022 in the German city of Bonn, and has been organized by Germany since 2009, prior to the annual United Nations Climate Conference.
