Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, met with Anna Hobakova, Minister of Environment of the Czech Republic, to discuss mechanisms of joint cooperation in support of Egypt’s preparations to chair the upcoming COP27 climate conference, Czech preparations for the presidency of the Council of the European Union, and the exchange of visions and experiences on urgent environmental issues, especially with the celebration of reaching 100 years of cooperation. The Egyptian Minister of Environment also referred to the need to discuss the link between energy and increasing food prices within the climate action agenda, and the imperative to start changing production and consumption patterns in line with the urgent challenges facing the world.
