Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, is taking part
in the high-level segment of the UN General Assembly's 77th
session, which begins today, Monday.
According to Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the
official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the new session of the
General Assembly will be held this year in special international circumstances
under the title "A Watershed Moment: Transformative Solutions to
Intertwined Challenges," in light of the challenges confronting the
current international scene from various and intertwined issues. Climate
change, the global food and energy crisis, the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, and
the desire to achieve sustainable development goals.
