The former Egyptian Ambassador to Palestine, Ambassador Dr. Ashraf Akl, stressed the importance of the visit of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas “Abu Mazen” to Cairo and his meeting with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. To coordinate positions before meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who is currently on a tour in the Middle East that includes Egypt and Palestine, along with Turkey, Greece, Jordan, Qatar, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Israel, in an effort to reduce tension and avoid the outbreak of a regional conflict.
The former Egyptian ambassador to Palestine urged the League of Arab States to work for unity of ranks and speech in these critical times that the entire region is going through, especially Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Sudan and Libya.
