The Minister of Housing stated that trials are underway to operate the surface water plant south of Port Said (El-Kab), with a capacity of 26,000 m3/day, at a cost of 370 million pounds, and the initial delivery of the project of water lines carrying filtered water from El-Kab water station to the villages of South Port Said, at a cost of 248 million pounds, is underway. EGP 547 million to serve the villages of Shader Azzam - Umm Khalaf - Al Radwan. The project is scheduled to be completed at the end of next September. The West Port Said desalination plant and desalinated water transport lines are underway, with a capacity of 20 thousand m3 / day, at a cost of EGP 547 million.
Major General Ihab Khedr, head of the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation, indicated that the final delivery of the project to rehabilitate the sewage treatment plant in Port Said, and the final delivery of the dual treatment at a sewage treatment plant (C9), and the delivery of the tertiary treatment is underway, and the initial delivery of a project Completion of Port Fouad networks, Al-Nawras sewage project, craftsmen lift station project, university expansions, and the expulsion line 3 km in diameter 600 mm, and the project to develop a lifting station (10S), an expulsion line and a sloping network for the Qabouti area, and additional works are being implemented in the project.
The head of the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation added that the initial delivery of the project to complete the permanent solution for the social housing project south of Port Said is underway, and part of the network has been operated in a suburban sewage project, and it is scheduled to be completed at the end of next September.
