Hedaya Malak Wahba, an Egyptian taekwondo player in the national team, was born in 1993 and is the first Arab and African athlete to qualify for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics. She won bronze at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
She was nominated by Sayidaty Online magazine after winning the gold in the Bahrain Taekwondo Championships in March 2014, among the 50 most prominent Arab women.
One of her most prominent humanitarian stances was during her meeting with Raja Garmache, the Moroccan champion in “Para Taekwondo” for people with special needs in the African Championship held in Port Said in May 2016. Hedaya learned from the tournament organizers that the Moroccan player will not participate due to the lack of competitors in the tournament, which He pushed "Malak" to meet with her to raise her morale, and for "Garmash" to win the gold in the tournament and raise her international and global rankings, and to deliver a message to the whole world on cooperation between healthy people and people with special needs.
