In a step intended to boost tourism, archaeological awareness in schools, Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities launched a new initiative entitled ‘Hakitna’ “Our tale “, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, last week.
The latest initiative aims to contribute to spreading tourism and archaeological awareness among school students, according to the ministry officials.
The general director Dr. Rash Kamal revealed that the initiative focused on the priority to develop the culture of learning the national history and the great heritage of Egypt’s antiques with the young students.
Furthermore, Rash Kamal pointed out that the new initiative comes in line with strengthening the efforts made by the Ministry and the interest of the authorities in consolidating the principles of tourism awareness.
In this regard, Tourism and culture officials pledged to work towards improving the cultural awareness of the students of different phases and boost their representation in society.
The general director of the department also revealed that the ministry honored the children of 22 schools who won the competition.
