Egypt succeeded in reaching the fifteenth place, out of 60 countries in the world, in the "Global Services Sites Index" issued by the Kearney Global Consulting Foundation for the year 2021.
Egypt scored 5.62 percent of the index, thus maintaining its regional supremacy and leadership in the Middle East and Africa region, followed by the countries of the region, the United Arab Emirates ranked 25th.
Egypt came in the ranking before Germany, Portugal and Bulgaria, and after Poland (14), Colombia (13) and Estonia (12), while India, China and Malaysia continued to dominate the first three places in the index, which is issued every two years.
The report praised Egypt as an attractive location for providing "cross-border outsourcing services," especially in terms of competitive cost. The report also praised the government's relentless efforts to develop the communications and information technology sector.
