The "New Delta" national project is the largest in the history of Egyptian agriculture
It is expected that the area of this project upon its completion will exceed more than two million acres, and contribute to providing job opportunities for more than 5 million citizens. The country imports tens of thousands of tons of agricultural products annually.
The study added, the "New Delta" project is expected to be a reason to relieve pressure on the old agricultural land in the Nile Delta, which is currently suffering from the danger of depreciation and erosion as a result of the citizens' need for the residents of Lower Egypt to construct new housing and service facilities that meet their rising needs.
