The Information and Decision Support Center of the Council of Ministers issued a new issue of the “National Base for Studies,” which is a monthly bulletin that represents the result of monitoring, compiling, and documenting studies that address topics and research related to the fields of economic and social development in Egypt, whether issued by Egyptian bodies, institutions, or research centers. Regional or international, or institutions and media centres, as the new issue included 25 study statements in Arabic on the subject of “the automotive industry”, which are available on the database of studies on Egypt during the period from 2018 to 2023.

The recommendations also came from “participating with one of the leading international companies in the field of automobile manufacturing, given the Egyptian and foreign consumer’s confidence in the products of these companies, especially the Egyptian consumer’s desire to buy their products,” and “setting a time period for the producing companies to raise the percentage of the local component to approach global rates by correcting the defect.” Customs duties and estimating incentives for companies that achieve an increase in local manufacturing rates, “and applying pollution specifications (the percentage of carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons in the exhaust) to local and imported cars, in order to preserve the environment and prevent the import of old-style cars that are still produced in some countries.”
