Counselor Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razek, President of the Senate, said that everyone witnessed, and the world witnessed last Monday, the National Elections Authority’s announcement of the victory of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi in the presidential elections that took place earlier this month.
We thank the great Egyptian people for choosing them as their president, and for their participation, which has never reached such a level in elections before, even in the most democratic countries, as I mentioned a moment ago, which demonstrated to the world the awareness of this people and their awareness of the dangers surrounding the nation, and their lining up behind their president as one, in opposition and support. To tell the world that we and our leader have one goal and one destiny.
We also thank all state agencies, especially the armed forces, the police, the judicial authorities and bodies, and the National Elections Authority, for organizing honorable elections free of any violations.
Thanks also go to the press and media for covering these elections with impartiality and media honor.
I thank you all for what I witnessed and followed personally in my parliamentary and party capacity, of the strenuous efforts you made, whether individually or as parties, that brought out these elections in their beautiful guise that the world is proud of, through your seminars and conferences that you held and through which you spread awareness among voters and the masses of citizens about the importance of positive participation in the elections. As a constitutional and national right and duty, which encouraged those millions to go to the election ballots.
Finally, we renew our congratulations and support for President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in his third term leading the country, and we say to His Excellency, may God grant you success and direct your steps.
