At the Riyadh conference, Shehata reviews the efforts of the New Republic in dealing with work challenges and developing youth skills

Today, Wednesday, Minister of Labor, Hassan Shehata, participates in the first edition of the International Labor Market Conference (GLMC), organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, during the period from December 13 to 14 in Riyadh, in the presence of 2,000 participants from various countries of the world and 120 speakers across 40 countries. A dialogue and specialized session, in partnership with the International Labor Organization and the World Bank, with the participation of an elite group of international experts and specialists, a number of ministers and government officials, and heads of international and professional organizations.

This International Labor Market Conference is the first event of its kind that seeks to provide a unified global platform that brings together all parties, including governments, institutions, experts, academics and interested parties, to discuss market conditions, anticipate its future, and find creative solutions to address labor market issues.

Through the dialogue sessions with the participants, Shehata seeks to continue cooperation and coordination with labor and development partners around the world to confront the challenges of the labor market. The Minister also reviews the efforts of the Egyptian state in dealing with the “New Republic” with these challenges, and stresses that Egypt is with every joint action that would enhance Labor relations and creating job opportunities for youth, pointing to the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi regarding linking vocational training and education to the needs of the labor market at home and abroad, and focusing on developing youth skills.
