Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, participated in the celebration of the new members of the IUCN Green List for the Middle East and West Asia region, which was organized by the IUCN Regional Office for West Asia and held at the IUCN pavilion in the Blue Zone of the COP28 climate conference held in Expo City Dubai.
Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of the Environment, explained that Egypt joined the Convention on Biological Diversity before 2018, and hosted the Conference of the Parties for Biological Diversity (COP14) and contributed to setting the general framework for biodiversity 2020 in Montreal last year. Egypt is also making great efforts to confirm the link between the issues of biodiversity and climate change.
