Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, chaired the government meeting today, Wednesday, at its headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, where he referred, at the beginning of the session, to the results of the participation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in the presidential segment of the twenty-eighth session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Change. Among these messages is Egypt’s reaffirmation of its commitment to confronting the challenge of climate change, and noting that just as it was keen at the COP27 summit in Sharm El-Sheikh to launch several paths that contribute to achieving its aspirations in this regard, it calls on the international community to expand the scope of societal participation and take more ambitious steps to The COP28 conference produces an enhanced international framework for developing cooperation and directing the required financial and technical support to developing countries.

The Prime Minister pointed to the momentum of official meetings held by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, during his participation in the climate summit in Dubai, with a number of leaders of countries and governments, and representatives of international financing institutions, whose discussions were not limited to climate issues, but rather extended to consultations on the crisis in the Gaza Strip, and appreciated Egyptian efforts to calm the situation and access to humanitarian aid.

The Prime Minister pointed out that he inspected models of housing units being implemented within the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in “Sadat” and “October Gardens” and handed over a number of contracts to the beneficiaries, noting the efforts made to implement this initiative in an optimal manner and achieve high completion rates.
