President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and President Katalin Novak of Hungary met today at the Federal Palace and talked about Egypt's efforts from the start of the crisis until achieving a humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip.
In his meeting with the president of Hungary, President Sisi emphasized the need for a long-term ceasefire and the provision of as much humanitarian aid as possible to the Gaza Strip's residents in a way that both satisfies their basic needs and lessens the severity of the immense suffering they are experiencing while preventing the conflict from spreading to the West Bank. He also emphasized that the region's stability and security are largely dependent on the international recognition of a Palestinian state bounded by June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem serving as its capital.
