Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting today; To follow up on developments in Egypt’s participation in the twenty-eighth Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 28), scheduled to be held in the United Arab Emirates, in the presence of Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment.
The Minister spoke about the conference agenda during the meeting, highlighting the sessions, activities, and events that cover a wide range of topics related to the climate change file. He also mentioned that during these sessions, Egypt will pass over the presidency of the climate conference to the UAE and that many Egyptian national success stories in addressing the issue of climate change and its implications will be reviewed.
Regarding the Egyptian pavilion taking part in "Cop 28," the Minister stated that sponsors, businesses, academic institutions, international organizations, and community organizations have all been given space on the side event schedule, which has been finalized in accordance with the conference's theme days and coordinated with the relevant ministries.
