Dr. Mahmoud Abu Zeid, Chairman of the Arab Water Council, and Dr. Gu Chen, Deputy Minister of Water Resources of the People's Republic of China, signed a cooperation agreement, today, Sunday, in the field of technology transfer, exchange of experiences, geographic information systems, and remote sensing. To improve water resources management in the Arab region.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the activities of the Sixth Cairo Water Week, which began today, Sunday, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, during the period from October 29 to November 2.
The agreement aims to transfer and exchange experiences and build capabilities in Arab countries, and to promote innovative technologies for surface and groundwater resources in Arab countries in cooperation with the Chinese Ministry of Water Resources, in order to enhance confrontation of climate change and its effects on water resources.
