During his participation in the meeting of the regular session No. (36) of the Council of Arab Ministers of Transport, Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, Head of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Transport, and the attending Arab Ministers of Transport, began the meeting by observing a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs in the sisterly State of Palestine.
The Minister stressed that transportation has become one of the most important elements of development in the world. Indeed, it is the main factor influencing economic and social growth, as all economic sectors depend on the infrastructure of various transportation systems, providing networks and linking them, facilitating procedures for the movement of goods and increasing trade exchange in a way that helps economic development. It encourages the transfer of capital to invest in our Arab region, and also contributes to facilitating the movement of citizens between our countries for all economic, commercial, tourism, cultural, recreational, religious and medical purposes.
