In a related context, the Iranian Foreign Minister thanked the role played by Egypt in providing humanitarian aid to the people of the Gaza Strip, as the two ministers agreed on the necessity of coordinating efforts at the regional and international levels to provide safe and sustainable access to humanitarian and relief aid to Gaza.

Ambassador Abu Zeid added that Sameh Shoukry briefed his Iranian counterpart on the results of the Cairo Peace Summit, and the outcome of the deliberations and meetings that took place during the summit and on its sidelines, expressing his aspiration to build on the Cairo Summit as the first unified effort of regional and international parties, in order to interact politically with the crisis by identifying... Joint spaces to move and search for solutions that lead to stopping the escalation, and consultation on the future of dealing with the Palestinian issue.
