Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, participated this morning in the activities of the opening session of the third session of the “Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation”, in the Great Hall of the People in the Chinese capital, Beijing, which he is attending on behalf of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.

The forum's activities began with Chinese President Xi Jinping receiving the participants, including heads of state and government, and taking a group photo. The Chinese President also delivered a speech at the beginning of which he welcomed the attendees, during which he reviewed the most prominent results achieved within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative and the desired future prospects over the ten years since its launch.

The Chinese President stressed that his country had committed over the past decade to pushing towards international cooperation within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative, which extended from Eurasia to Africa and Latin America, pointing out that about 150 countries and 30 international organizations had signed cooperation documents with China within the framework of This initiative, and cooperation has entered the implementation phase and transformed plans into projects.

The Chinese President added in his speech that his country has worked to connect the world by land, sea, air and cyberspace, which has enhanced the circulation of goods, technology and individuals between countries of the world through economic corridors.
