President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a high-level Chinese delegation, headed by Li Shi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, in the presence of Counselor Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razek, President of the Senate, and the Chinese Ambassador to Cairo.
The spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic explained that there was an exchange of views on ways to maintain international peace and security, where the Chinese side presented its views in this regard, and the President affirmed Egypt’s keenness to contribute positively to confronting the current challenges facing the international community, and to enhance joint international collective action, in a way that preserves peace and stability, and pushes towards reforming the international financial governance system. The meeting also touched on developments in the situation in the Middle East, where the Chinese delegation expressed appreciation for the active Egyptian role in restoring and consolidating stability and development in the region, whether by combating terrorism, or by working to achieve a political settlement of the various crises in the region.
