Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, stressed the possibility of bringing about positive change and finding solutions to “climate health” crises with knowledge, technology, and collective will, on the condition that everyone comes together to create a future in which the health of this planet and the health of societies go “side by side.”
The Minister pointed out the need to give priority to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, as switching to renewable energy sources and adopting sustainable practices in sectors such as transportation, agriculture and industry will not only mitigate climate change, but will also lead to improving air quality and reducing health problems associated with pollution, stressing that Investing in clean technologies and supporting innovation will be crucial in achieving these goals.
