Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman and director of the Public Diplomacy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a phone call today, Sunday, from Italian Foreign Minister, "Antonio Taiani."
The Foreign Ministry spokesman revealed that the contact comes within the framework of close consultation and coordination between the two countries on various bilateral and regional issues in light of the distinguished relations between Egypt and Italy. In addition to addressing the common conditions and challenges in the Mediterranean region, on top of which is the phenomenon of illegal immigration across the Mediterranean.
