The Capital of Arab Sports Culture aims to mix sports and culture. It is an award granted to an Arab city with the aim of disseminating the principles of sports culture, spreading its noble values in our Arab world, and encouraging it to host sporting events and organize cultural and heritage activities in conjunction with it.
The Board of Trustees of the award includes a group of Arab sports and cultural experts, including Minister Plenipotentiary Faisal Ghassal, Director of the Sports Department of the League of Arab States, Egyptian artist Sameh Al-Suraiti, Ambassador of Arab Sports Culture, Zaid Khayami, former Director General of the Lebanese Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Ali Omar, representative of the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports. Dr. Amr Al-Haddad, Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports of Egypt and a member of the Sports Committee assisting the Council of Arab and Lebanese Ministers of Youth and Sports.
