Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Hani Swailem, received Dr. Safwat Abdel Dayem, Dr. Wilfried Hendermark, Heba Yakan and Federica Rangeri, experts of modern irrigation and drainage at the World Bank Group. Egypt.

Swilam explained that a phased review of modern irrigation in Egypt is currently underway, and this file is being studied in an integrated manner, including the impact on the rate of charging of the aquifer, the quantities of agricultural drainage entering the water system at other sites, major projects for reuse, soil salinity, etc., and setting standards, priorities and areas for work during the period. In the future, in light of the fact that modern irrigation is part of the integrated irrigation system, and its effects must be studied from all dimensions.
