Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a delegation from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the British House of Commons, headed by Representative Alicia Cairns, Chair of the Committee, and in the presence of Ambassador Gareth Bailey, the United Kingdom Ambassador to Cairo.
Counselor Dr. stated. Ahmed Fahmy, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, said that the British delegation was keen to listen to the President’s vision regarding the regional situation, especially in the Gaza Strip.
In the same context, the President explained to the British delegation that the permanent and just solution to the tension in the Middle East lies in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy. Mr. President also stressed the danger of the expansion of conflict axes and fronts, which threatens the entire regional security and stability, pointing in this context to the security conditions in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
