Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, emphasized the role of the ENACT initiative, “The Global Partnership to Promote Nature-Based Solutions,” which was one of the outcomes of the Cop27 climate conference. It was launched during Egypt's presidency of the conference to enhance the ability to link addressing the effects of climate change, biodiversity loss, and dealing with nature, through scientific evidence and developing best practices.
ENACT's success in achieving its vision of increased coherence on nature-based solutions across the Rio Conventions will only be possible on the basis of the committed engagement of its partners and strengthened cooperation at regional and global levels.
