Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, received a phone call today, Thursday, from "Michal Martin", Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense of the Republic of Ireland, who congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs on assuming the position.
In a statement by Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman and Director of the Public Diplomacy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, he stated that Minister Abdel Aati appreciated the Irish Minister's keenness to make the call and stressed his aspiration to work and coordinate with the Irish side during the coming period to strengthen bilateral relations and consult on regional and international issues of common interest, especially Middle East issues in light of Ireland's positive positions on them, most notably the Palestinian issue.
