Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, reviewed a report from the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Unit, indicating the progress made by the Arab Republic of Egypt internationally on the Compliance Scores Index within the third enhanced follow-up report for Egypt, issued by the 38th General Meeting of the Middle East and North Africa Financial Action Task Force (MENAFATF) held in May 2024.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees added that this progress also crowns the efforts made by the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Unit and all parties concerned with the Egyptian AML/CFT system, which confirms the soundness of the measures being taken to increase the effectiveness of the system, which qualifies the unit to assume leadership positions within the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
